If you had $30,000 to spend on ONE collectible, or Holy Grail, what would you purchase and why?

I was reading some old threads on hypothetical "dream" scenarios where if you had X dollars, what would you buy.
Mine would be a game used Michael Jordan jersey, preferably the black alternate from the 95-96 season with the 72-10 record. My dream collectible used to be game used Air Jordan XI sneakers, black and red colorway, but those degrade over the years pretty rapidly depending on the storage conditions and materials used in the shoe itself. But a game used Jordan jersey is my holy grail.
What would you pick up and why?

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.

I have 3 items. It would be one of these items...
A Ted Williams game-used bat.

I think it would be nice to get back my old PSA 9 OPC Gretzky rookie, but I can't fathom spending that kind of money on a card, even if I were a lotto winner.
i would get a box of 1979 opc hockey....awesome stuff.
1.) Best 1952 Mantle I could find with centering and eye appeal as the main focus.
2.) Highest graded Aaron rookie dead centered.
A game used Joe Greene jersey
The best 52T Mantle I could get.
Babe Ruth game used bat
Lou Gehrig Master Set
Non-Registry Collection
Game Used Cards Collection
I misread the title.
$30k for a "collectible" ~ I can think of a few classic cars I'd like to have. I read an article recently where some are saying the Viper (my favorite car) may double in price in the near future.
A 1961 fleer basketball wax box and open it. That would be my dream come true. How much fun with that be?
go for the GOAT:
2000 contenders Brady Psa 10.
This is a tough one for me. All but a few hockey cards could be purchased in multiples for that amount. There are some crazy items that I would love to have like Mike Eruzione's game used stick from Lake Placid ($263k), game worn jersey ($660k), gloves he wore during the tournament ($55k) but those are way more than the budget.
So I'd have to go with the highest grade 1951 Parkhurst Gordie Howe RC I could afford. A 8.5 sold back in 2013 for $26k. There is 1 PSA 9 no 10s so I'd probably have to settle for a 8 unless I could sweet talk my way into the 8.5 or 9.

it is a great question but unfortunately 30K doesn't get you a holy grail these days. it gets you something that was sitting on the shelf next to the stack of 88 donruss 20 years ago
Card: 1957 Topps Bill Russell PSA 8
Collectible: Official "NBA at 50"
Fifty Greatest Players signed lithograph
Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !
Best shape signed 52 mantle I could afford. Less of these than psa 9s and 10s I'd bet
55 Clemente..hehe
I'm eager to obtain a "bag of air" from the Cubs World Series victory, as advertised on eBay, however I'm certain I could acquire one for less than 30K.
Great call on the NBA at 50 piece. What a great item.
