sad to say that Paul Singleton passed away earlier today. Paul was
not a CCE dealer but many old time dealers likely know him. Over the
decades, Paul promoted a number of shows in the Virginia and Maryland
area. Prior to Whitman's acquisition of the Baltimore show, Paul handled
security and badging for Ed and Gordon. For the past 8 years or so, Paul
and I have promoted and run a couple of shows in the northern Virginia
area. As a result, he is well known to the dealer community in the
mid-Atlantic area.
Paul had a stroke in August and never fully recovered. This past month he
especially took a turn for the worse. I believe he was 82 or 83 years
old.
I do not yet know service details. If you'd like details once they have
been established, send me a direct and I'll keep you posted.
