15-20 years ago I would say crack it - but given the plethora of fake Trade dollars around now, I would keep it slabbed, if you ever plan to resell it.
I would do whatever gives you the most pleasure. The Trade Dollar in my 7070 book came from a PCGS holder where it was doing fine but now I see and enjoy it more since it is in the book.
If the coin is not a Carson City issue, I wouldn't hesitate to put it in a type set album, as the only significant downside is the sacrifice of authenticity guarantee, which isn't necessarily a huge factor for the likely cost basis.
Nice Trade Dollar.... depends on what you like best...and if you plan on selling.....it will sell better in the slab. More fun outside the slab.... Cheers, RickO
When I crack coins out to put them in my type album, I usually just tape the grade slip to the back. When I've sold, I'll include the old grade slip but make sure the buyer knows that the piece is no longer slabbed...

It's a nice look. I'd leave it slabbed.
Nice coin! I'd leave in the holder, they actually look really nice in these new slabs.

How does the TrueView look?
I would let her be...safely ensconced in her protective, drool-resistant holder.
