Awesome coin!
But I'm sort of surprised that PCGS attributes these with the number on their label. It would not be difficult for someone to switch out coins from the paperwork at some point over the last 80 years. I've seen it done on other numbered commemorative issues, even the ones that were numbered and notarized. Yours is a great example and I have no reason to suspect that it isn't the real deal, but for PCGS to guarantee that by putting it on their label is interesting to me.

Here's a Bay Bridge I used to own:

great documentation and coin
I live pretty close to the bridge and had to get one of these:
United States Half Dollar 1936-S San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge
It is interesting that there is a commemorative half-dollar for the San Francisco Bay Bridge but not for the much more famous Golden Gate Bridge.
The bridge is currently being torn down and replaced with a newer one, although the part depicted in the coin from San Francisco to Yerba Buena Island is still there.

This is one I have yet to buy. Have always liked the design, just haven't found one that sings to me. That and focus has been away from commems.
Here's another presentation strike Bay Bridge:
The coin was graded MS66 back in 1992 by NGC.
This is a copy of the Bay Bridge opening program from 1936 (not a contemporary reprint).
Great examples everyone.. Mike that one looks really nice for a 63!
Love my Bay Bridge!
Nice coin and documentation.... I would say though, from the picture, it does not look like a 66....could be just the picture...but the 63's appear better .....Cheers, RickO
These are very cool! I've never seen these letters before but think they are a great piece of history. Love the Capital Plastics holder with the letter and envelopes.
Since PCGS indicates the striking order on the insert, and the striking order is much lower than typical First Strike volumes, it would be great to have a First Strike insert on these!
