I don't usually collect unsigned things, but I was high bidder on this one in Heritage's auction Saturday night. Will be the only T206 in my collection right now. I've been fascinated with this card since I was a young man and learned about the T206 series.
The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
S.F.S I hope my kids grow up to be just like you. I'm sure your Dad will love it!
Last one of the month for me. I missed this card when it sold at the PWCC June auction. I bought a few other cards from that same auction but missed this one somehow . I was so bothered that I called PWCC and asked them to pass along my contact info to the winner and tell them I'd make it worth their while if they contacted me. PWCC agreed to pass it along but I never heard back from the winner.
Being a Pop 3 I figured it might be awhile before one of the other 2 showed up. So I was shocked to see the exact same cert number listed in the last PWCC auction. Long story short but it all worked out for the best, at least for me, I got it for about 35% less then the seller paid back in June.
I admire your obsession to try and get all of the PSA 10 cards from "The French Connection".
Congrats on getting 4 out of the 5 Topps/OPC cards out there. I'm curious, if many more of "The French Connection" cards get graded PSA 10's would you try and get all of them? I consider myself a little obsessed when it comes to Nolan Ryan cards, but it never even crossed my mind to try anything like that with Nolan Ryan PSA 10's.
I'd been searching several years now for a higher end PSA 9 Carter RC for my 75 mini set that both fills the holder and is free of the noticeable tilt that often plagues this card. I am happy to have finally found one that fits the bill.
Also landed another upgrade with this Pinson card.

Anyway way good luck finding the 5th card.

Donato,
I guess I could deny it's an obsession and maybe I'd fool myself but not anyone else. I don't know if I'd buy any more if the pop count changes. If the last one out there now showed up I'd probably try and snag it just for a sense of closure but if someone cracked some of the wax that's out and the market flooded I'd probably lose interest in that challenge. Probably. Maybe. I think. We'll see?
Fortunately for me hockey is not priced anything like baseball. While I don't have the wildest guess what Nolan Ryan dimes go for I'm certain it's a lot more than my... cough.... cough... obsession.
Was / is it a common practice to have rookies share cards or does he have his own RC and this is just an extra card from his rookie year? Only curious because I though someone else posted another BB rookie card that was of a HOFer that was a shared card. Off the top of my head I can't think of any hockey cards that are shared RCs.

Kevin,
It's not as common now, but from the early 1960's through the early 1980's it was common for two, three, four or more rookies to be on a single baseball card. Click the link below to see some examples.

Just picked up a few 1970s racks.
1974 rack with Aaron #1 (and Perry) on back with original price sticker on header card.
My favorite year~1975 Topps with a nicely centered Pops on top and Johnny Bench league leaders card on top.

Nice. I saw some of those the other day and knew you'd be on 'em like a shark on chum.
Now I know who got that 74 rack, congrats Tim. That is an awesome pack!
Thanks, guys!
Another pickup from last week, 75 rack with Schmidt on back.
