On November 2, 1952
Dixie Lee Crosby (40), wife of Bing Crosby, died in Hollywood from cancer.

On November 2, 1915
San Francisco’s Panama-Pacific Expo celebrated San Francisco day and drew an estimated 348,472 people, equal to about 70% of the city’s population.

And finally, I was born at St Francis Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA at 11:15 pm. My father was mildly disturbed that my birth resulted in his missing the "Jack Benny" radio show. One other interesting note was my mother's 10 day stay in the hospital (which was common back then). The hospital bill for childbirth and 10 day stay........ $75

So in honor of this historic day let's see some colorful 1952 coins!

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.
Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
