I've got the entire set of 1916s with the antiqued Walker the only one photographed at this point.
That's very cool.......I just got done putting all my new pieces in an album.
We shall see how they tone over the years.

Imagine if there were someone this skilled working for the Chinese counterfeiters?
There are Chinese pieces of equal caliber. Look at Trade Dollars for instance.

Yes, there are high-quality fakes of Trade Dollars.
I don't know if it has been confirmed that the better-quality ones are of Chinese origin, however.
High-quality fakes have been around for quite a while now, such as:
Pre-1933 dated US gold coins that were produced in the Middle East in the 1960s.
"Omega" counterfeits (circa 1970s ?).
Ford fakes of western bars, etc.
Micro-o (and Family) Morgan Dollars minted in the 1915-1940 period.
Etc.

Funny, that's the way I feel after reading most of your postings.
Those Carr fantasy date creations are pretty cool, I also ordered the silver 1916 anniversary rounds and am very happy with them, they look just like the real thing within the round.

They are curious and interesting and look to be of high quality.
