I'm glad Dan Carr is on our side. Imagine if there were someone this skilled working for the Chinese counterfeiters?

Man those are sweet Walkers...Dan does a great job. I have his 2015-16 Clark Gruber Octagons, (2) 1/10 Clark Gruber gold, and a set of his 2016 silver rounds. All beautiful to behold. I also have a pair of his 2019-D Apollo dollars he submitted for review. I'm hoping he'll list the 2019-D overstrikes he did on Susan B's so I can pick up one....

I have the three silver issues as well as the Buffalo 5c centennial from 2013. Fabulous stuff! I'm looking forward to the Peace Dollar centennial in 2021.

There are Chinese pieces of equal caliber. Look at Trade Dollars for instance.

Yes, there are high-quality fakes of Trade Dollars.
I don't know if it has been confirmed that the better-quality ones are of Chinese origin, however.

High-quality fakes have been around for quite a while now, such as:
Pre-1933 dated US gold coins that were produced in the Middle East in the 1960s.
    "Omega" counterfeits (circa 1970s ?).
Ford fakes of western bars, etc.
Micro-o (and Family) Morgan Dollars minted in the 1915-1940 period.
    Etc.

Those Carr fantasy date creations are pretty cool, I also ordered the silver 1916 anniversary rounds and am very happy with them, they look just like the real thing within the round.

Not my thing but I can appreciate the artistry that goes into them.

They are curious and interesting and look to be of high quality.

    Thanks for sharing.
