One name that i don't think has been mentioned is cincyredlegs (Mark) who did some great work here running multiple CU group rips.

+1 on Cincyredlegs for all the breaks he organized (and 70ToppsFanatic for the recent breaks).

+1 on Snuffy, his photoshops are missed.

Muggy and BBG are guaranteed a spot in the Hall of Shame (can we get an exhibit for BBG's blue gloves?)

+1 on Nikklos for his rips... also JGF for his awesome football rip a few seasons ago.

I agree with most picks. Itzagonner helped me considerably when I was a newbie and will always be appreciated. My number one pick would have to be WalterSobchak specifically for his signature line that quoted the following - which still makes me laugh to this day every time I think of it.

"I'd hate to think that someone's condo burnt down because you and Patrick decided to spend the afternoon kicking each other in the nuts." - he explained where this came from several years ago but it stands on it's own merits.

I believe that was CNote (or something like that), and coincidentally he has the same avatar as you.

morning Gents! seems like this might be a good idea. here are my thoughts.

    1. I do think there should be only 1 HOF--for the famous and infamous. We can always include a disclaimer on their election as to why. Keeps it easier and will probably preserve the length of the thread

    2. My suggestions on who/what can be elected : 1) active members, 2) inactive embers--good and bad, 3) banned members (I'll reach out to the CU admin about this), 4) Alts; 5) specific threads

    3. Create a separate thread once we have agreed to all the criteria labeled CU Boards HOF Thread--or something like that

    4. How many times should we elect per year? 1--2-3??

    5. How many people allowed election per voting period--I say 5 max--Ruth Gehrig--oh wait--wrong class

    6. how many votes needed to elect? Tough one since newer members may not know of the former members who really should be in--any thoughts on how many votes?

    7. The goal would be for former members to get back here--so we would have to reach out to them in order to check back in and vote/be elected

Good to provide some names of potential HOFers here--but let's settle in on the criteria for now if we can

    suggestions welcome

20 to begin, since there is a backlog. Then 6 per year. Forgot hall of shame members, why give them anymore attention for their misdeeds.
Have a minimum number of years on the forum and min number of posts- 4 years and 1000 or something like that.

Some of the greatest members ever were banned. Personally I don't believe that should be a qualifier especially if the person or persons that got them banned are still active.

thinking Griffins is correct--forget the Hall of Shame members. no more attn to them is right. I do think banned members should be considered w-the OK from the CU admin

remember they'll still have to be voted in--20 may be a little to high for the 1st "class"--maybe 10?

Ten votes seems good to me. How many members in first round?

I think post count is irrelevant. Lots of folks do a lot of talking without saying much. On the flip side, some say little but add plenty to the community. My line of thinking was you should have had an amazing thread/given to others/organized a group break etc. or are a positive influence on the board.

    My induction ballot

*miconlegacy should be in. He loved this place.

Flatfoot(Christmas swap organization/giving/collector/knowledge) overall #1 selection for me
CPAMike- unopened knowledge he shared and kindness
    Grote-same as above
Cincyredlegs-any man willing to do all those group breaks deserves to be in the HOF
    Stone-The original OG-five tool poster
Porkins- Always liked his wax rips and added a lot to the site for the 1980s crowd
Fergie-awesome thread on busting packs. Love that thread.
1983 set builder guy(help me with his name)- might be one of the best threads ever watching his chase
    Dbone- overall performance and generosity
1970stoppsfanatic-one of the most knowledgable you will find
Yankeesman-One of the most generous you will find, Christmas swap member each year, gotta have one Yankee in 1st class
Galaxy27- Always been in Christmas swap with him, knowledgable and positive.

Evening everyone. Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. I would like the inaugural class to be inducted right around the new year. Seems appropriate. Few things I've gleaned from the posts and rules I would suggest going forward---

    1. No infamous members. Good guys only

    2. Banned members allowed. Subject to #1.

    3. No minimum posts or years needed. Voting will control who gets in

    4. Inaugural Class. 10 members. Thereafter 5 members per year for 5 years. Then we'll reassess

    5. One class per year--voting just after the new year

    6. Each January 1---Nominations will be taken. Thereafter 10 votes needed to elect a member. In the event more than 10 votes are received by members--only the top vote getters get in. Voting allowed only thru January 31st.

    Did I Miss anything?

If you nominate someone--make your case as to why. We don't have stats here on the board--so point to a thread etc.

    Suggestions welcome
