    Pirates aren't the brightest people.

In school they only average high seas.

How did you get that eye patch?

A sailor and a pirate are in a tavern recounting their adventures at sea.

Seeing the pirate’s peg-leg, hook, and eye patch, the sailor asks: “So, how did you end up with the peg-leg?”

The pirate replies: “Arrr... we were caught in a mighty gale and a giant wave swept me overboard. Just as me crew were pullin’ me out a school of sharks appeared and one of ’em bit me leg off.”

“Blimey!” said the sailor . “And how’d you get the hook?”

“Arrrr…”, mused the pirate, “That were a Royal Navy cannonball. Blew me hand right clean off, it did.”

“Blimey!” remarked the sailor. “And how about the eye patch?”

“Oh... that,” said the pirate, looking embarrassed. "A seagull droppin’ fell into me eye.”

“You lost your eye to a seagull dropping?” the sailor asked incredulously.

“Well, y'see…” said the pirate, ”twas me first day with the new hook.”

Edible Chinese holed over sized coins?

OK a day late, but here is the pirate booty some of my extended family members came home with yesterday courtesy of the Krispy Kreme doughnut shop dress like a pirate promotion:

And here is "the loot" I took home for my role as a costumed pirate "extra" in an episode of Hawaii Five-0:
