I think the kid's poise morphed into moxie yesterday.
I will agree with this~Dallas has played very well but the level of competition has been fairly soft thus far. Waiting to see how he performs in tougher situations.
Also, as was clearly illustrated when Romo had Murray back in 2014, an elite RB will always make your QB look good, or even better than he is. The guy in the Fox booth knows that all too well, also.
What are you talking about? They got to the divisional playoff that season and if not for that call reversing the Bryant reception, they'd have gotten to the NFC Championship, at least.
In fact, Romo singlehandedly bailed them out that season with late gamewinning drives on more than one occasion, as I recall.
LOL......you and Jerry only remember the times you want to and block out the games Tony blows. I know what you are saying, but even when Romo had Murray he made bad decisions and turned the ball over and lost games.
Let's take a trip down memory lane and talk about the game where Romo played lights out against Denver (5 TD passes I think) and ended up losing by a score of 51-48.
I remember that game and the thread on that game. Lots of opinions on Dallas and Romo being tossed about in the thread.

Exactly. It was Romo's fault the D was abysmal that year and gave up 50 points in that game.

You had to bring up that one.
Which was Tony's loss PERIOD!!!
The game was tied with 2-3 mins. left.....Dallas has the ball....a good QB takes the team down the field for a game winning FG!
Tony instead throws a PICK setting up the game winning FG for Denver.
Case closed....it doesn't matter what happened before.....this was crunch time and Tony just BLEW IT!!!!
At this point, you have to stick with the kid. He has been money in the bank.

Elliott is also the best back they've had since Smith.

The only fly in the ointment may come if/when Dak and the team lose 3 in a row,if that happens at all. Will the team/ Jerry start hearing the chant"We want Tony"?Especially with a possible playoff berth at stake.Fans today have a short memory and the what have you done for me lately mantra.

The only fan(s) chanting "We want Romo" would have to be fans with a short memory. Why would anyone want "The Choker" back!!!
green bay not going anywhere like this , they don't lose to rookie QB's at home . Aaron Rodgers looks tired or hurt or something .
While I'm speculating wildly , Romo is gone at the end of this year to Denver (if he's lucky) , he would do well there I think or the Jets (if he is unlucky) no one will ever do well there.
Romo would win a Super Bowl with the Broncos. He would do well with the Jets. He would do great with the Chiefs or if the Bills crap the bed this year. He would be punished if he went to the Niner's

I'm not exactly sure about the details of his contract but I think they restructured him last year. Dak isn't costing much but if he is going to be the Brady here maybe they could work something out where they picked up part of the Romo cap hit but saved the actual money by trading him. The Broncos won a superbowl last year with 3/8's of a Manning.
Speaking of the Broncos , Elway was a genius not to keep Brock Ostweiler at 74 million methinks
I'm starting to think that Dak will remain the starter. Why fix it if it's not broken, the ' Boys are playing great football and they hit a HR with Elliot
Gutsy, clutch performance by Prescott. He's been terrific. Only mistake was the pick near the end zone in the first half, but he rebounded with a strong finish.

He made some bad decisions at the line, but as long as he is learining.......can't expect him to play perfect.
Sounds strange to say and I may be dead wrong but it felt like Dez being in the lineup kinda messed up the mojo.
Yes he had some nice catches but for three quarters they seemed to forgot about Beasley, Whitten, etc...
Tried to force it to Dez when it wasn't there.

I was thinking the same thing.........where is Beasley???? Dak wasn't his normal self in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
What a game. Impressive win on the road to say the least.

Elliott is virtually unstoppable. The best rookie RB I can recall in recent memory.
Prescott has solidified his hold on the starting QB job.
Dallas D is a bit soft but the offense can sure score when needed.

and 'Zeke will make us all forget about Derrick. more than just a running back who has speed, strength and the ability to make tacklers miss, Elliot is a very fine receiver and blocker. just get him the ball and good things will happen, eventually.
BTW, did anyone see Shazier shoot the gap and tackle Elliot for a loss?? hello, Teammate!!

Granted, it was against a team that isn't very scary but I'll take it.
Experiences like that are priceless for a rookie QB.

The Boys looked good today, but they need to clean up the stupid mistakes..... like 12 men on the field TWICE!
And why grab Rodgers face mask when you already have him sacked.
Green Bay sucks......really! They have 2 losses 1 to the 5-0 Vikings and 1 to the 5-1 Cowboys.

I would think with Tonys penchant to injury any team interested in him would approach very carefully such a trade.
Yes, and also his choking history.
That's an ugly win against the Eagles but I'll take it.
A wins a win.

We can only hope!!!
Game was borderline unwatchable with all the penalty flags.
Good win.
They can eat their fake spike.

Another great win for Dallas and a very good day for Dak. Zeke and Dez looked pretty good too!
Go Cowboys!!!
