In Honor Of My Mom

stashstash Posts: 1,126 ✭✭✭
My Mother passed away on Labor Day at 5:15 AM . She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney failure, she already had Heart Disease . About 5 weeks ago, we found out that she also had
Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which has a story behind its self .

My Mother would of been 75 on the 24th of this month . So to honor my mother I purchased a coin 74 years old for her age . So here it is, a 1942 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, DDO-001 ( FS-101) .

Rest in Peace Mom and I'll see you in the Heavens one day ...
Love Always, Your Son Ricky ...........

I'm very sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in 1995. But I can feel her presence occasionally. You may find that's true for you.

Funny you say that, my sister were giving my dad a hard time and they were " ***** Blocking " me from his phone . When he went back to his house to get something out he check his messages on his phone and called me back . My sisters were trying to listen on the cordless phone and the battery went dead .

Good job Mother, she didn't want my sisters to hear me and my fathers conversion .
He said that for leaving those messages, I needed that ....

Sincere condolences for the loss of your Mom, Ricky. She was obviously deeply loved and is surely missed.

My Mom was also born in 1942, I bought this coin a long, long time ago because it was her birth year.

She's also struggling with aging and health issues, I speak with her often and will call her right now, thank you for your thoughtful post

    Rick,

My deepest condolences - and what a nice tribute you're giving her.
Beautiful DDO Half - and its a coin you'll keep near and dear to your heart.

She's at rest now - and as you said, you'll meet again someday.

I spent every minute I could with her this summer, even though all of it was in a hospital bed trying to help her and my father out . All her children and my Father were around her when she passed too .....

Hey Stash, real sorry for your loss, I went through the same last Spring.

It is sure tough, I know just how you feel.

Family 'politics' made it even worse.

    Take Care.

We were over my parents house yesterday, going through stuff to give to Purple Heart and found my Mother diary . Even my Dad had no ideal where it was, but he did know about it .
We read for a hour or so from it ...

Good job Mom, we all needed that, especially my Father ....
