If you're doing a PCGS collectible holder type set and need that type coin, there really is competition out there for Regency, Doilies, white rattlers, etc.
I didn't need the type so dropped out much earlier.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose, Cardinal.
That is really cool!! Missed out on that one in Heritage but saw another listed on eBay and it's a regency sample holder which I did not ever even hear about before. I think that will maybe sell for even more because of the word sample on the label.
Lots of money for plastic, but I sure wish I could own it!

...now that's a keeper! You probably just pissed alot of people off by posting the link here but oh well...actually maybe not though, the major slab sample players seem to have deep pockets and enjoy fruitful competition

That's nothing, a 1946 D 50c in and MS-65 NGC Black Slab is currently bid at $2800 on Great Collections for a coin worth about $100.
Those holders are much more rare than regency holders and that ones looks to be prefect, collectors of those holders should be drooling.

In the coin world the special holders drive me insane.
Me too!
I've cracked/crossed coins in all of these holders that some people drool over.
There seem to be collectors for everything.... and I have noticed that slab collectors are very driven...Cheers, RickO

and others have drilled holes in key dates, put key dates in in jewelry mounts, etc., with the same reasoning...
