1875-S/S 20C ?

I was browsing through the Most Recent Imaged coins on CoinFacts and saw this pretty MS66 20c piece. Are my eyes deceiving me or is this an RPM? Is there a known S/S?

Certainly looks like a repunched mint mark to these eyes

BTW, I think the S/S is more common than the non-repunched mint mark.

The 1875-S/S twenty cent is very common. image

Fixed the typo. image I found the page for the 1875-S/S. Looks like if this was properly attributed, it would be the Top Pop. I didn't realize they were so common though.

Just curious. How long have you been a collector? You should have a Red Book guide to U.S. coins in your library. Also, there is a fairly new excellent book on this series. One of the major coin supply places should have both books.

And ... you don't have to buy the book on the series, since it is available for free at: www.doubledimes.com
