    Tarzan........I'm a winner

I think it used to be in a Pcgs 65 holder that sold for $2585 in 4/17 CICF .
I liked it though with the low mintage and originality.

I just looked at the Heritage dashboard and apparently did win one lot from a pre auction bid which I assumed would not succeed and did not stay up for.

Maria Theresa Taler 1766 MS63 NGC, Gunzburg mint, KM16, Dav-1148. Seemingly conservatively graded with a full strike, radiant luster, few marks and just the faintest dappling of golden tone over both sides that contributes that the coin's overall excellent character.

bidask - Sorry to hear the news. You are not the only one to follow that path.

I picked up 3 new sede vacante medals and a piastra. Hammer prices were soft in the areas I was watching.

Nice stuff - I love that Saxony.

Z look at the details of the crown - love it.

Bid - sorry I know the feeling - we all have those it seems. That 66 is super though!

There was totally nothing of interest for me altogether.

What a difference between the Heritage image (above) when compared with the NGC image image

This beautiful 5F reminded me of a random meeting with MrEureka a few years ago, at Baldwin's headquarters in London. I was coming from a meeting with a dealer at the basement, and on my way out, I see MrEureka on the ground floor checking out a complete raw 1887 Belgian Congo set, from the copper one centime to the silver 5 francs. If memory serves he was on the phone with the potential buyer, giving him his expert opinion on it.

    Remarkable coin!
