France: copper jeton of Louix XIII, undated (ca. 1610-1643)
Obverse: laureate bust of Louis XIII left. Reverse: FORMIDO RAPACIS, lion and rooster.
The lion has lost most of his head to wear and/or weak strike, but this is still a terrific 400-year-old copper for the money. It's double-tournois size; in other words about the diameter of a US nickel. It is darker than the pictures, but is a pleasant mahogany brown color.
$15.00 (or offer a BU/proof modern silver coin swap)
Lustrous with a bit of color at rims, but with small scuff on the nose keeping this one @ 64 - Vertical die crack running from jaw line up into hair line.
1892 Columbian Half Dollar - This came in an old Tatham Stamp & Coin envelope and will be delivered with it. It's been written over with Columbia half, it appears the envelope was originally mailed as a flying eagle cent.
Coin has envelope toning with decent luster still for the wear. Asking $25 delivered.
