  • You really need to show up sooner. Many got taken for $7.50 a medal over cost.

enough whining buddy. You're a grown person who made an adult decision. I know and have worked with Mitch and would vouch for him any day of the week.
  • I understand and expect you guys to stick together but when all we have to go by is the word of someone we trust we expect a fair deal. We don't have CCE. He knew darn well when he told me that $15 was fair it wasn't. It is too late for me but I intent to do my best to keep others from falling into his trap. Thanks for posting a very generous buy price. You just did more to stop his lowball buying than I could ever do.

Thank you very much Nurmaler. And, for what its worth, no one got compensation under $40 for ordering the medals for me (even if they had asked for less before they went on sale at a time when it was pure guess work if and when they would sell out and what they might be worth the day after the sale). Many folks have received (or will receive) a thank you bonus from me.

I've been doing mint product deals here on the boards for over ten years - and have won some and lost some. Those doing deals with me over that time period know that there is a "winner" and loser" on the majority of all the mint product deals and if things get close to evening out for buyers and sellers after 25 or 50 deals, that is all that matters. I hope to continue to do a ton of problem free business with forum members here, including Nurmaler who is an excellent trading partner.

Regarding jim007's post ... I will not waste any additional time addressing his claims. My original post to board members is still right on these boards (which I will "ttt" for the convenience of anyone interested) and I discussed CCE, the early offers ($60 on CCE best I see), etc. in a couple extensive posts on the US Coin Forum thread on this subject as well if anyone wants to go and read them (as well as what the US Coin Forum Members felt about the situation).

  • Now that there is a fair buy posted I'm done. I hope that the better buyers continue to post buys. I have been here for 15 years and I know who makes the lowest offer. If it would help you can have mine at cost. I'm a parole agent from Chicago on disability but if my $40 profit helps you go ahead and keep it.

Jim007: I truly had no idea who you were when I paid you (rich or poor, healthy or disabled, etc.) after you responded to my BST thread. I believe you did mention on the other thread though that Harbour Coin (a CCE member) paid fair compensation for the sets when they paid $100 to its customers for the deals at the time I posted here? Let me know if I got that wrong. In any event, that translates to a $15/medal difference from one deal to the next. I am equally fine giving you what you personally believed to be fully fair and reasonable compensation at the time. In fact, I'll go one better ... let me toss in an additional $100 (beyond what you have already been paid) but I'll send it to a mutually agreeable charity in your name (you will see that we will have no difficulty selecting a deserving charity for these funds if this is acceptable to you). This way, a needy charity gets the funds you did not want added to your check (since you honored your deal), I paid more than Harbour who you felt was very fair to its customers and essentially everyone "wins". Fair enough?

  • I know Harbor coin would not have offered $100 if they didn't learn something on CCE. I know Brian very well he doesn't give money away. This was the same time you told me $15 was fair. I believe you knew more. If you had said $15 isn't fair I'll match the $100 being paid you would have bought yourself $1000 worth of respect and I would have never said a word when dmark paid $500 a box several hours later. Then I would have know I was paid fair at the time and would have only been kicking my own ass for not waiting longer. When the 2015 platinum came out dmark offered me $325 profit very early, I think you were at $100+ I don't have agentjim007 history anymore. Not long after those platinum were double+ profit what I sold mine for. Check agentjim007 history I never said a word and I delivered for our locked in price. For those here that call my a whiner I am not. When an honorable deal is made I keep my end. Give the money to St. Jude, my wife and I make as generous a monthly contribution to them as we can afford.

    Sounds good Jim007. Will do.

And, once again, Brian/Harbour was NOT on CCE with a $100 offer at the time of my offer (or ever, best I know). I already provided the time line information on the other thread of the one "$60" buyer on CCE on 8/22/16 (who actually had no price at all at first but then went to $60/order). You forwarded me Brian's (private) offer after the fact and that is how I learned of it. I also have no information whatsoever dmark was at $500 as his initial buy price here - none at all. It is always easy to go back and "Monday night quarterback" - heck you did not mention the crazy money (after the fact) I paid for Ike Rev proof dollar sets here (buried in them) and for that matter the 2016 proof platinum coins that have all but died! Or, the gold Mercs, or the Rev. proof dimes, or various Native American sets, or even the N. Reagan gold spouse coins I paid premiums to buy only to have the mint make them "no limit" shortly thereafter. And, those are just on the top of my head over the past 12 or so months!

Anyway, I have now paid more for your box than your (fair) friend Brian was paying with the contribution in your name. Just do me a favor in Sept. and send me a PM letting me know the charity has received and recognized your gift.
