The best Poor 1s?

logger7logger7 Posts: 9,005 ✭✭✭✭✭
I saw this early US coin got a poor 1 grade: http://www.pcgs.com/cert/81427170

Is that what submitters should aim for with poor 1s or are other dates and denominations considered better?

I know there are avid collectors of this condition....just have never felt the attraction. Cheers, RickO

That is an expensive coin (my view) and needs to be certified. PO 01 is better than nothing and raw may have been very difficult to sell. Poor on those older coins is not as common as you would think as many just get damaged by rim hits, etc.

I have a lowball set of CC Morgans and find that locating a poor for my set ((I have one and I have had only two (sold one) is not easy.))

    Be well,
