Brief moment of excitement

Unfortunately it was only for a moment when I found a 1955 Lincoln in the Coinstar this morning!!

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
There was a little blip beneath the date.
But it just turned out to be a piece of dirt.
Oh, well, an XF 1914 cent is good enough.
However, when I took a wooden toothpick and removed that piece of dirt below the date... ta-dahh!!!
Nice find LordM.....Cheers, RickO
Helluva find, I bet you were half-expecting the "D" to flake off along with the crud!

I was! And I was looking at it without a glass, in less than optimal light.
Truth be told, I had a little box with some of the coins and was looking at them in the lamplight on my bedside table.
When I realized what I'd found (and that there was no VDB under the shoulder or weird spacing in the last two digits of the date) I jumped up and shouted so loud it woke up ladymarcovan.
