Good lord what have you nerds unearthed lol

Any concerns on safety at this years National? I have never been to Chicago but the murder rate does have me a little concerned.

I was writing a computer program to calculate the number of days a person had been alive (exactly), so I needed to know how leap year works. It's funny because I spent a ton of time figuring it out only to determine later it was a built in function of the language - so all of my work and coding turned into just one line.

As for staying alive in Chicago, don't go to the south side of Chicago which is typically considered the dangerous part of the city. Also, most of the murders are gang related so if you're not in a gang that greatly reduces your chances.

Agreed. There's nothing outside of the Sox that you need to really adventure to anyway. And even though
the Sox play on the South Side where all the gangs and true violence is, I've taken the train in from the suburbs a few times and walked right into the stadium, and right back to the train after without ever for a moment of feeling unsafe. Just walk with big crowds. The north side you'll be fine. I've walked those streets extremely late at night and there is nothing to overly worry about in Wrigleyville, Lakeview, etc. If for some reason you get sketched out, duck into a bar (they're open until 4am), and call a cab, Uber, or Lyft. They are all available in in less than 5 minutes.
