Ok, I'll start this...

YPS Silver. I avoided poured silver for 2 years, but, when silver dipped below $15, I got hooked. Damn you Silver Slacker!!!

    Zubie, very nice YPS collection.

I have a dozen or so various YPS items, my favorite being the Kilo Skull in the red satin lined casket.

Pretty sure I have one of every size skull.

He's about 45 minutes from me, I'll hop on the H-D and ride to his shop on a 'pour day'.

    Neat collection.

I didn't realize how distracting the blue pearl countertop would be until after I set it all up. Here is a pic of all 800ozs of poured silver. (600oz is YPS)

By the way, the RCM boxes are a great way to store PMs and fit perfect in safes and SDBs.

PM, I would love to see YPS pour some bars.

    Wow...impressive collection.
I remember a few years ago, you sold a lot of your silver to help fund your new home. Looks like you've made great strides on replenishing your inventory. Congrats!

    Hey Downtown Bob,
Yes, I sold off almost all my hoard back in 2011 to put a down payment on our house in SD. I kept my Silver Lunar Series II Set going for the boys and started buying continuously when silver hit $18 around 2014.
I was buying all Geiger, but, the premiums are too high now and switched to Sunshine silver bars. I'm trying to acquire as much as possible below $20 before things take off later this year.

As for SDB Baseball, I have several free SDBs with a family members local bank, not too worried.

Very beautiful group of silver bars although I must admit that I cringed when I saw the picture of your bars piled into a box without any protection for individual bars. Most of your bars have sharp corners and I would be concerned with your bars scratching, nicking, scuffing, or rubbing the adjacent bars that they come in contact with. I put each of my unsealed bars in a small zip lock bag to keep them as nice as possible. I can see these bars of various styles being collectable some day and these very nice bars are certainly worthy of being protected from any contact marks.

That is an amazing box of silver, however, I too am surprised you do not protect them from handling damage... Cheers, RickO

Interesting (intriguing) way to stack silver.
  • ZubieZubie Posts: 1,160 ✭✭✭✭
Don't worry guys, I didn't dump it all in at one time. I placed every piece of silver in that box, very carefully. I don't take my Sunshine and silver bars out of their wrappers, but, I definitely love seeing & feeling these awesome bars up close. The poured silver basically got me excited to stack again. I mean, cmon, how boring is it to stack roll after roll after roll of ASEs or round? My kids absolutely love each piece and I even let them pick a few of their own when ordering.
I'm sure I'll lose half the premium on most, but a few are rare and some are double on eBay. Of course it really won't matter when silver is $50-75 in a few years and I dump this at spot and get to start over and do it again another 10-12 years from now.

I've worked my tail off these past few years to be nearly debt free, so it's time to put some of this money to work. I just don't see a scenario where gold is less than $1500 and silver below $28 in the next 12-18 months.

    Keep Calm and JNUG on!!!??

Agree, that's a nice one, and doesn't look like the set that has "made the rounds" here, unless it's now better photographed.

    Awesome either way.
