Coin from Bulgaria

But it was minted in the United States, lol......
I grabbed this XF45 1844 Half Dime off eBay from a single digit feedback seller in Bulgaria. It was the only American and only certified coin he was selling along with foreign coins, watches, etc. The pics were not so great. When I checked the cert I was surprised to find it had an early TrueView pic yet was currently in a newer PCGS Secure holder. So with a few yellow flags flying on this one I went for it and he accepted my best offer.
The extremely well packaged coin arrived in 11 days. It is nicer than the TrueView pic! As an added bonus it was wrapped in pages from a Bulgarian women's magazine.
Not only was I glad to have a nice international transaction, I was happy to bring the coin home to the U.S.

I'm obviously seeing the wrong pics in the OP.
If I recall correctly, all PCGS Secure holder coins are now imaged, but the images are not the quality of TV images. It appears that was the case with your coin, too.
I didn't know that. I always thought the pics without the PCGS background were just old style from when T.V. was getting started. Thanks for learnin' me something!
