2015 Silver American Eagles 1 oz

About to buy 1,000 Silver AE's @ $20 per coin.

Mainly buying for silver weight and dipping my toes into numismatic investing. Give me your thoughts. Was this wise?

Buying at that quantity, you should be able to get a little better price. Maybe closer to $18-19/each. Melt value is currently $17.53.
    I love the 3 P's: PB&J, PBR and PCGS.

Apmex is a big boy and they are selling quantities of 500+, using check or wire, for $21.11 with spot at $17.52 right now.

I don't go to ALL the sites, so I would bet there are some lower, but THAT much lower? Would be interesting to know who.......not that I am in the market.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

From whom? I know one AP paying $1.75 over for MB quantities of 2016s.

With Kitco spot at $17.50 that would be $19.25 a pop. What maroon would sell 2 MBs for $18 when with a little smarts he could get $19.25?

For 1,000 coins or 2 MBs you can get them for $2.19 over delivered. Would be $19.69 a pop right now.

If I was buying 1,000 ASEs, I'd want two MINT-SEALED monster boxes. Like this: http://www.apmex.com/product/9...gle-monster-box-sealed

Of course, shop around for best price.

Fair investment.... silver is rising... not sure how far it will go, but given today's economic climate, it may be a good time. Cheers, RickO
