Sad .... The more they did on this, they might destroy these two coins' value ??

At least it got the coins out there for discussion. Otherwise, they'd just sleep with little attention.

Sad. It just adds to the belief that there is impropriety in the bidding action.

I was a bit upset also, Coinweek's video provides a better view of the room so from their perspective it could better explain what the feel of the room was versus the live bid camera Stacks provides.

It is not the fault of the auction company that the respective reserves were well above what would have been moderate or even strong prices for each of those two coins. It would make sense for us to discuss some of the other sixty-one coins in this sale, some of which are amazing or otherwise very important.

I was NOT in any way involved with the video recording or editing. My understanding, however, is that the agreement between CoinWeek and SBG is not simple. In any event, "sad" is not an applicable word in this context. There were many great coins in that auction, most of which did well.

Collectors should feel fortunate that they have the opportunity to watch most of the auction. Are associates at any other publications shooting video footage of auctions? CoinWeek is the dominant player in this game and is, in a path breaking manner, providing information that is not found elsewhere.

An extremely aggressive reserve does not "destroy" a coin's value. I first started analyzing coin auctions more than twenty years ago. After writing hundreds of auction reviews, learning how to grade coins, and frequently communicating with major players, I know what I am talking about.

Most or all of the video was shot from one of the booths upstairs. I have been told that sophisticated equipment, which was recently purchased by CoinWeek, was used. Collectors should be happy, not "upset," that they get to see the vast majority of the auction!

I didnt want to sound ungrateful, Im actually very happy the video is there. Its a great source and I was already looking for videos of other Pogue sales.

Its also true that there are 61 other great coins, many of these I could buy at fair prices and I am happy they were for sale and I got them.
