why do they get those black spots?
is it the ddr? unum
strike doubling on date?

(there are actually two different ddr's on the 1917-p.)
there is doubling evident on both the date and the initial F.
Do not know why the carbon spots show up on some coins but
they sure do. Not to bad here though.

and the railroad rims on the obverse on the left side of the coin.
