PCGS Submission

Well, I sent my 4 coin submission in, and they've been entered in PCGS's system.

Now I wait.

I believe 3 will grade 60 or higher, with a peace dollar may be AU55.

For me hard to tell AU/MS when is it a weak strike or wear.

In the meantime, I will get a list of coins to send in for future submissions.

Maybe 10 at a time?

Joe

My 8 coin submission went into the PCGS system 6/1. I know from experience that checking for results 5-10 times a day doesn't speed up the grading process.
    I love the 3 P's: PB&J, PBR and PCGS.

If possible have an experienced numismatist give you his opinions of what your coins will grade BEFORE you send them in. If he spots something about a coin that you didn't, that might well have bearing on whether that coin should be included (saving you money).

    Good luck with your results.

It would be nice to knock it out of the park on every coin but I think there's some value in the tuition paid for the ones we whiff on.

I have always found it a trade-off -> sending in for grading or buying more coins... I ask myself if grading will increase the value by $25, frequently it does not but along comes one that pays for 5-10.

The grading room is a bit backed up these days. I have an Economy submission (US Barber material) that was logged in on May 3; the coins have not yet been graded. It's taking about 6 to 7 weeks for most Economy submissions now.
    I love them Barber Halves.....

Well I'm not going anywhere. The wait will give me more time to more coins to send in.

    1877 1C, 1885 5c, 1909-O are a couple possibilities.

We'll see how I did on what I thought 3 were MS and other was AU.

hard to tell mo me sometimes between Au's, weak strikes, and uncirculated.
