Maria Bartiromo gave this coin image a play on her morning show today, at the end of the segment, the discussion panel decided $35k asking price was too much, let's talk stocks and to the next CEO who has something new to sell.

I have no idea of the value of the offering. Oddly, Maria B.? I bet she has a few coins stashed away.

The writer or the article is an idiot, confusing asking price (which may never be realized) with selling price.

It's a piece de caprice that many of us would not care to own even at a reasonable price, much less at the offering price.

Did that Lincoln Memorial Cent struck on a nail in a PCGS holder ever sell at or near the $9,000 asking price? I remember it was BIN at $9,000 for many months and then I quit looking at it. I gave up on the price being lowered to the $29.95 that I was willing to pay.

Should be interesting.... I think some error collector will likely take it, believing it to be a long term investment....no idea what final price will be, however, I do think it will be considerably less than asking. Cheers, RickO

There are now a couple of dozen circulated 1970 quarters offered on eBay with a price tag of $1,000.00 or more.
