I was able to add another MANTLE to my low grade MICK collection. It was one I didn't have and for $25.00 I thought it was a good buy. One day I may scan all of my low grade MICKS and post them here.
I picked up my 30th different SEAVER autographed card.
I do not buy very much modern, but in the beginning of May I decided that I wanted to get a few autographed cards of one of the best young pitchers in the game today. Since he is on a team with a great staff of young pitchers, he doesn't get as much press as the rest of the staff. Not only does he pitch for my favorite team, but he grew up and still lives in the town next to me. As of right now, I also think he is in the thick of things for Rookie of the Year.
While I was getting the Matz cards, I decided to pick up these as well:

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Seaver has one of the greatest signatures in baseball. Very interesting pickups thus far.
I never really intended to start collecting seller (dealer) sheets, but I seem to keep gravitating towards them and before I knew it I had acquired a bunch of them from 1974-1979. These two here are for 1975 and 1976 Topps baseball rack boxes. What is like about these is that the sheet includes all the pertinent product code information as well as card, box and case count information, too. These sheets were for 6-box rack cases~144 racks in a case at 49c each for a retail price of $70.56. The case price to the dealer was only $32.40, so for every case sold, the merchant would make about $38 profit. And for every 20 cases ordered at one time, Topps would ship an additional case FREE!

Great pieces tim!! Never seen these before--the 75 is right up my alley!!
ETA: I think it's hilarious how the 75 one mentions Steve Busby in the same group as Aaron, Kaline, Ryan and Brock--that was probably the first and last time that ever happened!!!!!
Just called them; to my surprise, an operator answered and she let me place an order!!! Who knew you can place phone orders 24 hours a day!!! 20 cases plus a freebie on the way; best $324 i'll ever spend!!! Who's up for a FASC group break?!?!?!
I got this at the very end of May, but haven't got around to posting these. LuvOldPacks has helped me get closer to completed my 61 raw set...Some real firepower in here!

I had a thread on my Topps comic art but a lot of the scans are now gone and when I went to try and replace them - I got weird notifications - so I guess I'll start another thread down the road.
I'm a Topps Vault fan and collect the artwork that was used on the backs of their cards.
Just got this one from a private seller.

I really love baseball movies and no one does baseball movies better than Kevin Costner. When I saw this for a reasonable opening bid on the bay versus what their website and Steiner has Costner stuff for I went for it.

Sick Venezuelan! There are 2 of them I want to get. The one you just showed and the 1964 Venz NL HR Leaders with Aaron and Mays, along with McCovey and cepeda.
I just picked up Aaron and Gehringer index card autos that I've sent off to Alifax to get made into nee awesome cut autos. He always does impressive work and I'll show them off when they get back.

Hi Mike I do have the Yaz in PSA 8. When I bought it I sold my PSA 6 that I had for many years. I developed sellers remorse so I picked up this one to make myself feel better. BTW I had just the opposite experience you had finding your Mantle. I recently realized I was missing a card that I thought I had for several years.

This is one of those embarrassing - I didn't know I had it - categories.
I was looking for a PSA card and found this Mantle.
Don't remember buying it, by the cert # - I've had it over 20 yrs. If I had to guess?
Greg Manning Auctions 1994 or so?
