While this is a common Morgan Dollar, there is something about its look that I like

    For sure, this is a common coin. But that is also the first thing I noticed, it is really well struck...almost like 1/32" higher relief than normal. Miss Lib and the Eagle are protruding off the coin like they want to be set free image

    I love 1881-S silver dollars. Probably the consistently highest quality circulation strike coin produced by any U.S. mint in the 1880s.
