If it's to good to be true, it usually is. I suspect it's a hijacked account. Seller does not nor has he in the past dealt in either bullion or coins.

Yeah, I would be very wary about that one....

Almost half off what others go for, seller doesn't show similar from before, and it's "unopened" so seller may be counting on someone treating it the same and just putting it off to the side....until it's too late.

The boxes are easy to come by....not sure the straps (how hard they would be to replicate, or get close enough to fool many) if someone wanted to be crooked enough for the value.....

Also, there are a few "locations" in the US that I am always wary of.....Florida, New York, and some parts of CA. This one is listed as New York. From the electronics side of the house, I know there are some very questionable people/practices in that area.

Oh yeah, and if you look at the seller's feedback, the last items were more than a year ago......definitely has look of trouble (hijacked account)

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

If you look at his/her feedback, they have purchased from MCM.

worth the gamble as long as it's covered by buyer protection. I've never not been reimbursed by paypal with a failure to deliver. Seller was probably looking for a quick sale, needed the cash. I'd have jumped on it had I seen it. Will keep an eye on his feedback to see how it plays out.

  • So If the buyer cuts the straps, and the box is full of cement, does the seller have to take it back ?
I,m sure there is a way to re-strap these boxs using the original straps ?

I was fortunate enough to get some below spot silver in a very similar situation very recently. The ebay seller had a lot of feedback, but sold mostly flea market type stuff, not PMs so they listed it for $2+ per oz under spot and it ended up being legit, but it was 5ozs not 500, and the very collectible .999 fine silver rounds were also listed without the word silver in the description or title ;-)

Take a look at the Kitco charts from 2011 and you can see why he probably got frustrated. He probably wanted to cleanse his portfolio and get rid of silver forever.

why would a seller not take new pics of the box in hand? I doubt you will see any positive feedback on that one (unless he's padding his own feedback) Oh wait description says its a master pack not monster box!!! suckers

First sell in over a year. Yeah, it's either a hijacked acct or, at the most optimistic, or was left from dad dying, but I would figure that if "dad" was all in enough to buy a monster box then there would've been more PMs he would be selling. I'm going to guess a scammer just trying to make a quick buck, transfer the money from his paypal to his bank and disappearing..

If Rooster got on you for that tame comment he should never enter the sports card portion of the boards, we don't play as nice over there.

no matter to me, either way, I feel bad there are so many gullible people out there. Like someone buying a used car on ebay without any pix. people arent too bright these days.

I trust no one here was foolish or greedy to bid on any of his auctions. As previously indicated by some of us, that we were dealing with a hijacked account, our suspicions were justified. eBay removed all of those sales. ( ebay handle is: copperbearone)
