1873 CC Trade $1 - expert opinion requested (Grade in first post)

I'm trying to decide whether or not to submit this one for Reconsideration Service. Its got a sharp strike with great details, but the luster is obscured by its "originality". It's in an older Gen 8 holder. What's your grade opinion?

It's an XF45 with a green bean. I think its got low AU details but the skin has held it back. Still, I think it would have a decent shot at 50 today, and maybe a 53 if the grader was feeling especially generous...

I suspect it graded 45- I would grade it higher. Unfortunately, I don't think a reconsideration will get the result you are looking for. I would keep it as it is. If you want a higher graded example, then sell this one and look for one better one. The problem with that strategy is that it is not likely you will find one with this level of originality. Personally, I like this coin and would just keep it.

I think it is better than a 45. I would grade it AU-53. (On a bad day a 50; on a good day a 55.)
