First strike?

Who would have the answer?
Here's a little beauty I recently picked up. This is an ancient Greek silver Diobol, "Mesembria," 360-450 BC....Not a U.S. coin so I hope I don't get in trouble posting it here. I find the condition of this coin amazing to say the least for it's age. The obverse shows a war helmit and the reverse is a wheel. But to me it kinda looks like a compass.
Anyways I just wanna show it a bit.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting, Joe

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

I bet that was in Julius Caesar's Whitman album. More than likely a Raymond Wayte in those days.
MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

Nice coin! I like the hints of color on the helmet.

I'm not so sure about it being a wheel either. (Didn't Roman chariots have six or eight spokes?)

Now may be a good time to buy ancients, especially if they become illegal to import, prices may rise.

Thanks. I also like the eye appeal of this one. It's the red eye special!

surely those are tooth marks on the right side of the helmet

looks to be authenticated already if that's the case

    do tpg's accept toothmark's like chopmark's ?
