.
there are some modified coins floating around.
check the rims as reports are obv/rev are being sandwiched to make some of these.
pcgs just examined and returned at least a couple in unc body-bagged.
consider this the p.s.a.
will forward pics when avail. could be a week.
from my understanding, it is not the edge but the rims.
this is the abridged version.

Thanks for this. Keep us informed.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
i'm going to ttt this thread a few times given the value of these coins and considering this is the window period.
the info is that there could be numerous floating around but can be easily detected when knowing to look for it so don't let this prohibit you from purchasing.
just know what you are doing going in and/or having a guarantee in place from a seller.

fwiw
got a report of a bad one in a slab.
love that guarantee though.
these are not magicians coins. i wouldn't make a fuss for such a situation.
.
are you able to get images and/or more info. weight, etc.?
a magicians coin would be hollow or 2 similar sided. having a variety with correct weight and well-hidden details sounds more like scam than entertainment. imo.

In today's world one must be ever so vigilant when it comes to counterfeits.
I do not recall ever seeing pictures of the rim to help identifying these fakes.... Does anyone have one to post?? Cheers, RickO
