Everyman 19th Century Type Set

oih82w8oih82w8 Posts: 11,905 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have been thinking about taking a stab at the Everyman Type Set, but some of those types are (whistle) a tasking in themselves (Chain Cent (1793), Wreath Cent (1793), Liberty Cap Cent, Beaded Border (1793), Liberty Cap Cent, Dent. Border (1794-1796), Liberty Cap Left Half Cent (1793), Liberty Cap Rt Half Cent Lg Hd (1794) 1794, Liberty Cap Rt Half Cent Sm Hd (1795-1797), etc...) I was thinking that a 19th Century Everyman Type Set could be done a whole heck of a lot easier. The 20th Century is already set (not sure about an Everyman set though).

I already sent the idea to the PCGS Registry Customer Service Staff to see what they thought about it, just testing the waters here at CU.

Do you think this would be a popular set worth considering through the PCGS Registry Set?

Thank you for your interest and comments.

    Definitely a neat set for the Everyman section.

    I don't think that there is such a thing as an "Everyman Chain Cent"

    The Chain Cent (and others) is (are) part of the Everyman Complete U.S. Type Set (1792-1964)

    This is why I am suggesting something more "attainable".

    Maybe I should just make a showcase (noncompetitive) like Dimeman's Varieties. image

    This set idea makes a lot of sense. There is nothing "everyman" about a set that requires the chain and wreath cents. I would think they would consider it given they also do the 20th century type set.

    Looks like this set is a "no-go" for now at least;
