Pogue IV--CAC?

GazesGazes Posts: 2,315 ✭✭✭✭✭
The Pogue 3 coins had been sent into CAC although there seem to be some confusion prior to and at the auction whether this had been done. Does anyone know whether the Pogue 4 coins have been sent to CAC? Thanks

Are there stickers on some of the coins?

I can't imagine them not having been sent.

None of the coins from the other auctions had stickers on them either. You'd have to look them up individually. I assume all of the coins in the collection will be sent if they haven't already.

No. The Pogue IV coins were not sent into CAC.

Some collectors insist on certain attributes which are consistent with JA's eye...and some don't. Nothing necessarily wrong with that - just one more data point.

My understanding was last time they sent the coins but did not affix stickers. You had to type in the slab number on the CAC site to see if it stickered.

The earlier auction coins were sent to CAC and stickered or not. Those coins were reholdered without sticker. I trust Ronyahski regarding the current sale.

It seems the half Dollar and Dollars have been send to CAC, the half eagles not / not yet.

You can look up at CAC, e.g. the 1795 Dollar SP 66 is not CAC, while the two other 1795 Dollars are CAC.

The half eagles were sent later. Except the 1804 dollar and the 1822 half eagle, all coins in Pogue IV were sent to CAC, I believe. Please do not quote me.

The anonymous quote above is correct.

I retract my prior statement, as my (direct) source says that the half eagles were later sent in, and the 1804 and 1822 were not. So anonymous quote is correct.

There has been too much discussion of the two coins that did not sell, which were never sent to CAC. Shall we discuss some of the CAC approved coins that did sell? Do the participants in this thread wish to mention any of their favorites?
