Baltimore Coin Show Mint Error Report 2016

I just wrote up my show report for the recent Baltimore Whitman Expo. The report is focused exclusively on the mint error market, and should be read from that view point. Thanks!

counter-intuitive...... I am do not question your observations since I know very little about
error coins. Thanks for the perspective and detail. Cheers, RickO
Well, just Love coins, period.
Hmmm, not quite getting it about the health of the market when there are not retail customers! I wish the OP best in business, but that is a bit worrisome especially in that there was by his story no competition.
There is usually not a lot of retail business at coin shows for error coins, and rarely is there enough profit from it to even pay for the table, travel, etc! However, between wholesale, retail, and buying (buying being the most important part by far), it is worthwhile as a dealer.
The reason for so little retail is that the error coin market is relatively small compared to "regular coins", and for any single show location, there are very few error collectors who will typically take the time to attend a coin show--most error collectors are online these days.
