1945-D/D FS-501 Mercury Dime

So in addition to finding a '41 DDO, I also found this RPM. Both coins had been sitting in my collection in a marked "misc coins" for a good 6 years and just a couple of days ago, out of sheer boredom, broke out the box just to see what all I had. I guess it really does take fresh eyes to see what you missed the first 10 times you looked at your coins.

    Cool coin, congrats!

Here is one of the ones I owned. Top Pop MS66FB.

    I also owned an AU58.

Another nice find, but this variety is not as hard to find as the 41 DDO and thus doesn't have much value in lower than MS grades.

I do not see it as bragging. He was seeking some value info, especially via PM and I sent him that info.

I posted a much abbreviated version in this thread. I also told him that my MS66FB came from you in a

trade that included the AU58 that I had. I was very passionate about Mercury Dime Varieties and much

appreciated your willingness to trade. Without friends in all of this, building the collection I had would have

been much more difficult! I am always eager to help people with information when I can.

Truly, not a brag at all. I really wish you didn't see it that way.
