Amazon vs. EBay selling

Can you comment on this?

Let me start this. Amazon did not run auction business and it is similar to EBay Buy-It-Now without best offer option.

ive heard recently from reporting that numismatics are being poorly promoted via the site software/algorithms. (ive looked into and i simply dont like their format(s)) but ive bought non-numis items there but prefer not to (no problems with those items). payment is very easy though.

reported sales in categories is how it was analyzed.

is it true or just part of this lull? (normal this time of year in my experience)

ebay is far more efficient to look at quantity and figure out whom is whom sometimes.

unless you price it high enough that the people who don't buy many coins do not know they are paying too much

I've never bought or sold coins on Amazon.
I looked at what they had and wasn't impressed by the offerings.

I have purchased many non-coin items via Amazon.... usually because they had the best (read that lowest) prices for the item I want. I have not looked at coins on Amazon... did not know they had them... will check it out. Cheers, RickO

I wouldn't bother unless you want to buy BU 2015/2016 ASE's for $30...

Tried doing a search over there, couldn't find the tree in the forest.

    Book selection was good.

Amazon charges much higher fees, and has a rigorous vetting process. The average guy is not going to be able to sell on Amazon, unless they have all their paperwork in good standing. Much tougher than paypal.

I listed Items on Amazon when they had a big PNG dealer push, but never sold one single coin. They started charging $30-40 per month to be a seller, so I quit selling (or trying to sell) there.
