    Looks like strike/machine/mechanical/shelf doubling to me. Not too uncommon.

    Strike doubling + aforementioned hit/displaced metal gives impression of a split. Agree with FTB's statement above, and with keyman64.

    I'm not sure on this one......but probably strike doubling.

    An RPD would be impossible for this date as the Mint stopped hand punching dates into coins in 1909. That would mean this would have to be a doubled die were it a genuine Mint error, and as others have said I think what you actually have is strike doubling with some additional nicks and scratches that give the impression of notching.
