Care to educate me? What is their significance and why does PCGS grade them?
I've never seen this before. They posted in CoinFacts on 3-25-2016.

Or are they just some type of dcarr or Gallery Mint type of product? Who made them?
Based on my limited knowledge of what PCGS has refused to grade, it surprises me that PCGS grades them I guess.
They are neat though. Congrats!

Thanks Mike. "Unusual World Coins"....does this mean they are a coin for another country? What country?

They were privately minted. They are listed in the Unusual World Coins book under United States of America... and so are a few of Dan Carr's coins, though PCGS has not yet graded any of those despite saying on their site that they'll grade coins listed in this reference... just a matter of time I think...

I just wrote a quick program (simple program, grayscale image, nearest neighbor image sampling rather than bilinear interpolation, not optimized to eliminate redundant calculations) to convert a round coin to a square one. The results are a bit more dramatic than the results above, as the design now contains sharp corners, but it's pretty accurate. The reverse is pretty cool, actually.
Very cool! I agree, the reverse looks sweet. Though, I do like the slightly smoother rendition of the 1984 piece. Fun exercise in homeomorphism.

Meesydesks renditions are awesome too. I'd be running all kinds of coins through that program.

This is very attractive. I am surprised that dealers haven't created business "cards" using this technique.
