None, I hope. Decades ago, I assembled a set of Standing Liberty quarters. I cannot tell you how many coins I saw with full heads but incomplete details elsewhere (especially the shield).

No more new designations until they add the - and ++ grades.

It should would be nice to see a "FS" designation that actually meant Full Strike (99% full).

Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing an aFS designation as well for a 95% FS. A lot of poorly struck clad are getting high grades and they really don't deserve it. It's the same with most cu/ ni coins going back a century and a half.

On Lincoln's, not only do I look for full wheat lines but a full O in one and the the corresponding shoulder and bow tie. But that's just what I like and I wouldn't see the point of discounting really nice coins that show weakness in these areas. Some branch mints don't really come full like this anyway for the most part.

Could see a buffalo nickel getting a feather something or another, maybe on the buffalo. Full leg designation? Lol

A mushy bell is a turn off and I love full hand with thumb on a walker but not always necessary.

Someone here has a pic of a full steps nickel that has perfect steps but everything else is super soft and out of focus. That makes the perfect argument for not doing the designations. Just let the market value the attributes when folks know better what they're looking at.

I concur with this. A plain old "Full Strike" (FS) would be much more meaningful than anything else.

These micro designations become determining factors on coins that may not (and often are not) as nice as other examples that may have minor deviations in the area of focus. I have always

preferred evaluating the full coin (full strike is a term used, but also ambiguous). Cheers, RickO
