I thought we were more of a society infatuated with stickers. Print up a nice label, put it on the slab. Then you can put a glittery star sticker on the slab, maybe a WOW sticker and maybe even a Chiquita Banana sticker on the reverse for good measure.

IMO, Your coin is not the wide AM variety. Perhaps it's just the lighting angle. Sure would like to see a close-up of those letters so you can prove me wrong. Perhaps the experts here can educate me after you post the photo.

I would have not submitted it in 2006. With order #20062072 had it not been. Thinks me was crazy about the variety and after one submission I had 6% of the 2000 WAM cents in PCGS holders. ( MS 64 ). ... call me a WAM geek.
On that note , PCGS long ago informed me they would happily fix it. It is just that part of my fun with coins is obviously having fun in the business and hobby , with people. Kidding aside ( thread title along with the Sharpie ....), am generally serious
Hard to think a decade has passed since this submission and that almost 2 decades since I got back into coins after a 25 year hiatus .

The paperwork (invoice) specified when I submitted it. It is a different coin number than what is on the label (FYI) I needed a better Sharpie to put a 9 in there. ??

I would like to see a close-up of the "AM" please. IMO, the photo does not look like a "Wide AM" so I believe that PCGS has the correct label on your coin.
I did the same thing. Bought a nice 1911 Indian $10 gold coin. Took a sharpie and added "D Mintmark" to the slab. Both the grading service and the major dealer that I bought it from missed that D mintmark which makes it a much better coin.

PCGS agreed long ago to correct the "omission" from the submission. I just never sent it back , as it didn't seem that critical. It is the WAM variety.
Thanks for the great photo! Sorry I questioned you as you had the actual coin. Make sure they don't lower the grade on it when you return it (due to the spots).

Yeah, I suppose. If we want to get analytical and technical with nomenclature, you're probably correct, too. I need a better Sharpie.
