I figured out how to fill an impossibly tough hole in my collection!

As far as I know, the Central American Republic 1837 1 Real is unknown from any mint. This die is almost certainly from the Guatemala mint.

    I bought it about five years ago at Ponterio auction for $1265. That's actually big money for a foreign coin die.

    Yes, I knew what I was buying when I bought it. No, I didn't "forget". Just felt like posting it now.
