My new Pan-Pac addition...

Messing around on eBay and snagged this…

Got it today, dipped it, and it turns out to be this…

Looked bronze in the auction but turned out to be silver. It has some scratches as it is well used and some graffiti, but for $15 you can’t go wrong.

Cheers

Bob

P.S.

For all you celestial navigators out there, this was another eBay score…

Celestaire Astra IIIB, 5-years old, new in box, never opened.

I guess that I should not be surprised of all of the variety of Pan-Pac merchandise that was available during the exposition.

    Very nice piece!

I'm thinking the initials are T W but could be wrong. That's a lot of fun for 15 bucks

I have to agree, I liked the original better.

No offence but the dip ruined the eye appeal.

Nice pickup on the Pan Pac! I like the sextant too. I have been away from the boating / sailing world for quite a few years and Loran was the greatest thing back then. I did know how to use a sextant (still do!) and on one trip to St Thomas from RI needed to use it after a generator fire killed the electricity so no Loran. Cool instrument...thanks for posting!
