    Looks real to me too, but not desireable. Cleaned, chewed rims, etc. -- not nice.

    Looks like an old baking soda/water cleaning. Not too overly offensive, yet I do agree
    regarding the rim.

    Way too white...harshly, but not brillo-padded, cleaned. I would have to pass on this one.

    Is the darkness around the stars on the obverse indications it has been cleaned ? Just trying to learn

    There's some pitting on the rev near the rim at 2 and 7 which makes me think some black crust was removed there, so yes I'd say genuine, cleaned.
