Have you rec'd a refund for your Coinfacts subscription?

ManorcourtmanManorcourtman Posts: 8,141 ✭✭✭✭✭
I am paid until the end of the summer and asked for a refund for the now Free Coinfacts. No one has returned my emails and no refund yet. Has anyone else here gotten refunds for Coinfacts subs yet?

Not an issue for me as monthy billing. Monthly billing stopped when it went free.

Yes! I am an annual subscriber as well who had just recently renewed. I called customer service a couple of weeks ago and inquired about how refunds would be dealt with. I was informed that it would be automatic and that I need do nothing on my end. So, I've been keeping an eye on my account and sure enough, yesterday, my refund was received! I would expect others to be coming now as well.

THANK YOU PCGS for your excellent service and the wonderful (now) FREE CoinFacts program. I have long enjoyed the use of it and will now most certainly like it even more image

I paid for an annual subscription in late August. I called customer service after I received an email that instructed me to call them. The customer service rep had no idea what to do. She had not been instructed on what to do with accounts like mine.

At this point I figure that I'm not going to get anything back. I have been a loyal customer who paid for Coin Facts from the beginning. It's poor way to treat a customer, but that seems to be the PCGS policy.

I'm an annual subscriber in January...just checked my credit card statement and I got charged for an entire year in January and then refunded the full amount a couple of days ago. Never had to call or anything, so it worked out great for me. Sorry to hear it hasn't worked out for everybody...hopefully a phone call or two can clear things up.

Wasn't it reported that PCGS wasn't doing refunds unless the subscription/renewal occurred during the 90 days before Feb 1st?

My account renewed in Oct so I think I'm screwed.

Yes, but I had been billed for my annual literally only days before the announcement that the service was to go free. I called immediately to cancel, as I felt that being billed at this point was a bit ridiculous. Had it been 6 months out I wouldn't have cared at all, but not two days. Credit was issued promptly.

I just got a nice refund on an annual Coinfacts renewal last December. Thanx PCGS!

I suspect they credit your account, to be applied to future submissions or collectors club memberships.

I renewed CoinFacts 11/8/15 for coverage thru 11/11/16. I have not heard a word from PCGS about any refund. Nothings shows in my PCGS account as of today.

I sent them an email on February 3rd. No response as of today. Based on some replies here I am assuming a credit will be given either thru my credit card or against a future renewal of my membership. I have six months credit due on my annual payment for Coinfacts. I'll be patient for a couple more weeks before emailing them again. Steveimage

How many here roll and play dead when buying/selling coins .. If you paid for something .that is now free .... even 1 week.... a refund is due

Sorry to hear that so many of you are still waiting for your refund. At the time I called PCGS, I was told that "everyone" who was paying would be getting a "prorated" refund for the months they had not used. Having said that, I also want to clarify for those still waiting that my refund was to the credit card account I used to pay the annual fee. Therefore, it wasn't a voucher or credit toward other services but indeed a cash refund. Hope this information is useful when you contact PCGS.

My son paid for my subscription every year as a birthday gift. I had lunch with him today and he told me that he received a refund a couple of days ago. The subscription had renewed in January.

    Thank you PCGS.

Kudos to PCGS for doing the right thing. I'm glad to hear they backed off their "90 days only" policy and everyone is getting a pro-rated refund.

Did I miss something? How do you infer the "90 days only" policy has been rescinded from mozin's comment?

My renewal was in October. I just learned I got my refund four days ago.

I have gotten nothing so far. My renewal just happened in late January. I called CS on Friday and was told they are still processing refunds and/or credits and that I would be notified on which action they took.

Thank you. I renewed last August so perhaps lady luck will smile on me this week.

Just to find out if others who were due refunds got them during the past week. I'm still waiting per my email to customer service on February 3rd. Thanks.

I have heard nothing, and that was after someone who sounded like they were in authority posted here that something would be done.

I'll call again next week. If I get the run around again, I'll report here and chalk it up as a loss. PCGS will have gotten my money, but if they have any amount of "goodwill" on their balance sheet, they should reduce it. So far, for loyal customers, PCGS has handled this has handled very poorly.

Most of us aren't asking for or expecting a full refund. We are asking for a prorated refund based upon months paid for that are now be given away free. In my case it is 5 months (5/12 of $99) which is $41.25.

Correction: I only used 5 months of my annual suscription so my expected refund would be 7/12 of $99 which is $57.75.

Renewed in October. Received a prorated refund on my credit card on 2/19/16. Received no email from them about a credit being issued. It just appeared.

Unfortunately, we have no way to know in which "order" they are processing refunds. That may be a question to ask them if you are contacting them about your refund.

I don't know if my refund has posted yet, but I'm in no rush. It is, after all, essentially a gift. Can't very well complain about a gift showing up late.
