1877 dime love token... contemporary counterfeit host coin, or just really worn?

I stumbled across this while browsing love tokens.
Though I realize it could just be really well worn, this almost looks like a counterfeit dime to me? Note the softness on the lettering.
I have no intention of bidding on it, and it's not particularly appealing as a love token, but if the host coin were a counterfeit dime, that would be kind of interesting.

Far from it. I've had a "CAC" Seated dime before.
Yeah, I guess the weird wear pattern just threw me off. The charm bracelet theory makes sense, now that I think about it.
