I have been going through things and taking a few pics. It is amazing what accumulates.

Here's your chance to post that oddball item that you never get to show off.

It's the weekend so pull out the camera if you have to and drag that stuff out of the back of the safe.

It's fun and you may find some things you forgot about.

I purchased this Wooden Nickel Mint Set off of Ebay in the late 1990s for probably a couple of bucks.

Ikeigwin, that is an awesome pickup! Great coin, an interesting provenance, and an even better holder. Oh, how I wish that all auction houses, dealers, and collectors would retain the original holders when selling an important coin. All of the auction lots that I won in the Jules Reiver and the Russell J. Logan auction sales sent me the original holders, but sadly, all of the original 2x2 holders from the William A. Harmon sale of his magnificent half dimes were discarded before the sale. This is particularly tragic since Bill's 60+ years of notes on half dimes were written on those discarded holders.

This is the Missouri Protest Quarter. The Mint had revised the design of the Missouri State quarter to the dismay of the designer, so he placed stickers on a number of the quarters with his original design.

I'll bet that's just what they are. In fact, I seem to recall, a long while back, Barndog posted a half dime cake with the Capped Bust half dime obverse, baked and decorated by his (then) little daughter. Her artistic talent, if not her baking skills, have improved immensely.
