Is the 2016 ATB Quarters Proof Set packaging error worth a premium?

The Mint reported that about 12,000 America the Beautiful Quarters proof sets were released with a packaging error (one of the pictures was incorrect). Sales are suspended until new packages are ready, possibly in March.

Existing sets in the "error" boxes are fetching $60 to $70 on eBay. Will this become a hot item or eventually become just a niche item?

Also, how will this limited release affect the First Strike population?

Buy the Coins, not the box they made an error on.

Although I 'accumulate' (rather than seriously collect)

Printing errors on Proof Set boxes - double printed,

printed at angles, printed inside box, etc, these sound

like a minor item that will die off of interest in a few months.

From what I've read, it's one picture out of 3 or 4 that is the

incorrect one - not a dramatic printing error, but more of a

'die box variety', and it seems that 12K of them are plenty

    to satisfy collector interest..

I haven't seen the 'wrong' box photo yet, but it just doesn't

sound very dramatic or impactful, imo.

If it isn't a coin, then I am not interested... Cheers, RickO
