Has anyone had any experience with mystic stamp company buying coins?

I have a friend who just recieved his uncles collection is thinking about selling. He asked me about this company in camden, NY. Looking to see if anyone here does business with them.

Yes, according to wikipedia, Littleton purchased Mystic in 1974.

Mystic Coin advertises heavy in Coin World, in "Wanted to Buy" section.

Mystic Stamp was part of Littleton and may still be (I don't know as I don't collect stamps). If Mystic is still part of Littleton, then you should not have a problem with selling to them. Littleton has the reputation of paying very fair prices for common, collector-type coins. I don't know how competitive they are with higher-end pieces. I imagine Mystic would be the same. Good luck.

I have never dealt with Mystic...however, it would be advisable for your friend to get at

least three bids on the collection.... assuming it is a collection of some significance.
