I'm very glad to hear your afib surgery went so well.
I completely agree with the importance of being proactive when facing medical issues. It's not a question of being insulting, it's just being sure that you are not lost in a process that tends to be more mechanical than personal due usually to a demanding schedule and the tendency of practitioners to not look outside of the box.
